Frequently asked questions
The camera or my photos won’t open.
Underdraw needs your permission to use the camera and to pick photos. Open your phone’s Settings, find Underdraw, and turn on Camera and Photos, then reopen the app.
Can I trace without the camera?
Yes. Sketch mode shows your picture full-screen at full brightness, with no camera needed. Lay a thin sheet of paper over the screen and trace. You can also use the built-in templates in Sketch mode without any permissions.
Does Underdraw need an internet connection?
No. It works offline and there is no account to sign in to. The only internet use is a small check for app updates when it starts.
Where are my images stored, and how do I delete them?
Only on your phone, inside the app. Underdraw keeps your last 10 images in Recents and removes older ones automatically. You can remove any of them from Recents yourself, and uninstalling the app deletes everything it saved.
The app is stuck or behaving strangely.
Close the app completely and reopen it. If that doesn’t help, update to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play, then try again.
When you write to me
The quickest way is Settings → Send feedback in the app: it opens an email with your app version and phone already filled in. Writing from your own mail app works just as well. Please include:
- Your phone model
- Whether it runs iOS or Android
- The Underdraw version (in the store listing, or in the app’s Settings)
- A short description of what happened
Please don’t attach personal photos unless I ask.
